AAUA ASUU Suspends Strike, Resumption Date Announced
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA, today suspended its indefinite strike which lasted over three months. Students should resume immediately for the remaining part of the Second Semester 2015/2016 academic session as lectures will commence on Monday, 17th October, 2016
This is to inform all staff and students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko that, the Vice Chancellor has, on behalf of the Senate, approved that students should resume immediately for the remaining part of the Second Semester 2015/2016 academic session as lectures will commence on Monday, 17th October, 2016. This directive is sequel to the suspension of the strike action embarked upon by the Adekunle Ajasin University Chapter of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) since July, 2016.
Students living on campus are expected to check into their respective halls of residence immediately.
All staff and students are to note the contents of this circular and ensure that the academic calendar is accomplished in the interest of the system.
