ABU Announces Christmas & New Year Break
The management of Ahmadu Bello University has shared notice of a short break for the Christmas and New Year period.
Following the Federal Government’s public holiday plan, the university will shut its doors on Thursday, 25 December 2025. Classes and office work will pick up again on Monday, 5 January 2026.
Staff who handle essential duties are still expected to be on duty. Each person will take guidance from their Head of Department, as usual. Some units never fully sleep, even during festive days, so work goes on in a lighter way.
The Vice-Chancellor, Adamu Ahmed, sent warm season greetings to staff, students, and the wider campus family. He wished everyone rest and good health during the break, which many students need after a long term, honestly.
This notice came from the Public Affairs Directorate, Office of the Vice-Chancellor. Students are advised to plan travel early and keep an eye on official updates, just in case small changes come up.
