Adamawa State Polytechnic (affiliated with UNIMAID) degree post UTME screening form for the 2021/2022 academic session.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into (UTME and DIRECT ENTRY) Degree Programme of Adamawa State Polytechnic in affiliation with the University of Maiduguri for the 2021/2022 Academic Session in the following programmes
1. B.A ENGLISH LANGUAGE/LITERATURE
BASIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
UTME ENTRY MODE
- In addition to acceptable passes in UTME, the minimum academic requirement is credit level, passes in five subjects at O’Level in national recognized examination including English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 160 JAMB score
DIRECT ENTRY MODE
- For Direct Entry, candidates must have passed in at least two GCE A’ level subjects or its equivalent holders of NCE, OND and HND at a minimum of upper credit level are eligible for consideration for Direct Entry admission too. In addition, candidates must meet the required qualification at the Ordinary Level.
2. B A. (Ed) BUSINESS EDUCATION
BASIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
UTME ENTRY MODE
- In addition to acceptable passes in UTME, candidates must obtain credit level passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) final year examination or West African School Certificate (WASC/GCE, NECO, NABTEB) ‘O’ Level in five subjects, including Mathematics and English Language. Candidates studying sciences and arts subjects must obtain credit level passes in those subjects.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 160 JAMB score
DIRECT ENTRY MODE
- Any one of the following qualifications is admissible for the three (3) year Education degree programme; in addition, the candidate must possess five credit level passes in five subjects at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) of West African Examination Council (WAEC), NECO, or NABTEB ‘O’ level which must include Mathematics, English Language and three other relevant subjects, for direct entry, candidates must have:
- A pass at merit level in a relevant Diploma Programme (Provided the O/L requirements are satisfied)
- Two (2) passes in the relevant subject area at the advanced level.
- Passes in two (2) major subjects in relevant areas in the NCE
- Two (2) passes at the IJMB (Interim Joint Matriculation Board) examination or Cambridge Moderated Schools of Basic Studies Terminal Examination or International Baccalaureate from a recognized institution.
- For B.Ed (Technology) programme holder of NCE, City and Guilds, as well as OND and NBC/NTC Certificates, may be admitted
3. B A. MASS COMMUNICATION
BASIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
UTME ENTRY MODE
- Candidates for admission into the four-year degree programme in the Social Science in Nigeria should possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or General Certificate of Education of West African Examination Council (WAEC) or National Examination Council (SSCE-WAEC/NECO) or their equivalent with at least five credit passes in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 160 JAMB score
DIRECT ENTRY MODE
- Candidates for Direct Entry admission shall possess five credit passes in the Senior Secondary School Certificate, General Certificate of Education, National Examination Council or their equivalent including English and Mathematics of which at least two shall be at the Advanced level or four credit passes of which at least three shall be at the advance level provided that such passes are not counted at both levels of the examinations. In some cases, holders of diploma certificates in disciplines related to courses of study desired in the social sciences are accepted.
4. BSc. ACCOUNTING
BASIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
UTME ENTRY MODE
- The minimum academic requirement is credit level passes in five subjects at O’Level in nationally recognized examination including English Language, Mathematics and Economics at not more than two sittings. A credit level pass in Further Mathematics will be an added advantage for applicants in Actuarial Science.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 160 JAMB score
DIRECT ENTRY MODE
- In addition to the O’level requirements stipulated above, applicants should possess at least two A’Level papers in relevant subjects. For those who wish to read Actuarial Science, mathematics must be passed at the Advanced Level.
- OND in relevant discipline with at least upper credit grade in addition to the five credit passes as in 4 (a) above
- HND in relevant discipline with at least upper credit in addition to five credit passes as in 4 (a) above.
5. BSc. BANKING AND FINANCE
BASIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
UTME ENTRY MODE
- The minimum academic requirement is credit level passes in five subjects at O’Level in nationally recognized examination including English Language, Mathematics and Economics at not more than two sittings. A credit level pass in Further Mathematics will be an added advantage for applicants in Actuarial Science.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 160 JAMB score

Application forms for admission are obtained online here on the payment of the sum of Ten thousand naira (N10, 000.00) only.
Completed forms should reach the office of the Director, Degree Programmes at the Polytechnic Main Campus, Yola, on or before 31st December 2021.
