Admission into Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) Newly Approved Programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has opened applications for admission into newly approved programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. This update gives students an opportunity to study exciting new courses in fast-growing fields.

Qualified candidates are invited to apply for any of the programmes listed below, depending on their interests and UTME subject combinations.

School of Basic Medical Sciences (SBMS)

Nursing Sciences (B.NSc)

Applicants for the Nursing Sciences (B.NSc) degree must have a minimum UTME score of 300 with the following subject combination: English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

This course prepares students for careers in clinical practice, community health, and hospital care.

School of Logistic and Innovation Technology (SLIT)

Procurement Management Technology (B.Tech)

Financial Technology (B.Tech)

To qualify for either Procurement Management Technology or Financial Technology, candidates must score at least 180 in the 2025 UTME with this subject combination: English Language, Mathematics, and any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Geography, Economics, Government, or Accounting.

Both degrees focus on practical applications of technology and management to improve modern business systems.

School of Environmental Technology (SET)

Environmental Management Technology (B.Tech)

For admission into Environmental Management Technology, candidates need a UTME score of 180 or above with subjects in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Geography.

This programme trains students to manage natural resources responsibly and address environmental challenges.

How to Apply for Admission into Newly Approved Programmes

Candidates who selected FUTA as their first choice are to visit the JAMB website to change their course to any of the programmes listed above. After that, they should complete the online screening form on the FUTA website.

The screening fee is ₦2,000, payable at any bank through the Remita platform.

Online registration starts on Monday, 20 October 2025, and closes on Wednesday, 22 October 2025.

Students are advised to complete their applications early to avoid last-minute technical issues. FUTA looks forward to welcoming a new set of students into these promising fields in the 2025/2026 academic session.
