ADSU matriculation 2026: date, venue, seating time

Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, has announced the schedule for its 21st matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The announcement came through a circular from the Office of the Registrar, signed by the Academic Secretary, Abubakar Ahmed Vokna, on behalf of the Registrar, Aminu A. Alkali.

Matriculation date, time, and venue

ADSU fixed the ceremony as follows:

• Date: Friday, 30th Jan 2026
• Time: 10:00am prompt
• Venue: Boni Haruna Campus Football Ground

Same date, another format: Friday, 30 January 2026.

Seating time for matriculating students

The circular stated that all new students taking part in the matriculation must be seated at the venue before:

• 8:30am

That instruction is separate from the ceremony start time; the university expects early seating.

Lecture-free day for matriculating students

In preparation for the event, University Management declared Friday, 30 January 2026 as a lecture-free day exclusively for matriculating students.

That means the break applies to those matriculating; the notice tied it directly to the ceremony.

Instruction to deans and heads of department

The circular directed all Deans and Heads of Departments to take note of the management decision and ensure strict compliance.

This is not a suggestion; it is a directive for implementation.
