AFIT Remedial Admission Form 2025/2026

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is now taking applications for its remedial programme under the School of Basic and Remedial Studies. The admission covers the 2025/2026 academic session and runs for one full session, split into two semesters.

If you missed out on regular admission, this could be a second shot—whether your UTME score fell below the mark or you had a few gaps in your O’level.

Who Can Apply?

This programme is open to candidates who:

• Did not meet the JAMB cut-off mark
• Had applied to AFIT or any other school
• Have some O’level credits but still need to pass English or Maths

You’ll still need to make up any subject you’re missing before you can gain full entry into a degree course.

Entry Requirements

Social and Management Sciences

• Five credit passes at O’level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB), in no more than two sittings
• English and Maths must be included
• Two credits should come from Social Arts subjects, the rest from Social Sciences

Engineering and Sciences

• Credits in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
• Also limited to two sittings from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB

Duration of Study

The remedial programme will run for one academic session. That’s two semesters of lectures, tests and exams.

What Happens After?

Students who:

• Pass the remedial exams
• Meet the UTME cut-off

…will be considered for degree admission, subject to performance and available space in the desired course.

How to Apply

Here’s how to submit your application:

1. Visit the AFIT Remedial Application Portal
2. Click the link for 2025/2026 session
3. Fill out the online form
4. Pay ₦10,000 with an Interswitch ATM card

After completing the form, make sure to print it out. You’ll need it during registration, along with your O’level result slip.

Application Window

• Opening date: 27 June 2025
• Closing date: 26 July 2025

Apply early. Don’t wait till the last minute when the portal might be slow or closed.

Final Reminders

AFIT does not collect money from candidates beyond the official fee. No backdoor admission, no special favours. If anyone asks for money on behalf of the school, ignore them.
