ACU Convocation Ceremony Postponed
Ajayi Crowther University, ACU 2020 convocation ceremony has been postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At its recent meeting held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, the Governing Council of the University decided that due to COVID-19 Pandemic, and out of genuine concern for the health and safety of the staff, students and their parents/sponsors, it is undesirable to converge physically for convocation on the third Friday in October as is the usual practice. The 2020 Convocation would have been held, under the usual practice, on Friday, October 18, 2020. However, the University does not subscribe to virtual Convocation.
In view of the foregoing, Council decided that there will be no Convocation this year, 2020. Convocation for the graduating students this year will be combined with that of the set for year 2021.
The above decisions of Council notwithstanding, the graduating students will be released to proceed on National Youth Service once they are cleared of any form of indebtedness to the University.
Thank you.
Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo. F. Asaju
Vice-Chancellor
