Why this scholarship matters for Akwa Ibom students
Many Akwa Ibom students face money stress while trying to finish higher education. Fees, books, housing, food, and transport can all add up. A scholarship like this can help keep a student in school, support better focus, and reduce pressure on parents or guardians.
By giving support in both the USA and Nigeria, AKISAN USA links the diaspora and the home state. Students gain, families gain, and the wider Akwa Ibom community gains too, as more trained graduates return to serve in many fields such as health, teaching, science, arts, and business.
