The Akwa Ibom State College of Education (AKSCOE), Afaha Nsit, is rolling out the drums for its 8th to 13th Combined Convocation Ceremony. The event will not only mark academic achievements but also showcase the commissioning of projects supported by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). The date has been fixed for Friday, 3 October 2025, at the College Sports Grounds, starting from 9:00 a.m.

Distinguished Guests and Dignitaries

Convocations often bring together people from all walks of life, and this one is no different. According to a notice signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Academic Board, Barrister Augustine E. Udoibit, the following will grace the stage:

The blend of political leaders, seasoned academics, and state officials underlines the weight placed on this ceremony.

Graduating Classes Covered

The convocation will celebrate the achievements of students who began their studies from the 2015/2016 session up to the 2019/2020 session. For many of them, it is the finish line of years of hard work, late-night reading, and unending assignments. Families will gather to cheer, lecturers will smile with pride, and the graduates themselves will feel the relief that comes with closure.

Invitation to the Public

In a statement, the Provost of the College, Professor Daniel G. Udo, extended an open invitation to management, staff, students, graduands, parents, and the general public. The convocation is set to be more than a formality, it promises to be a day of joy, history, and community bonding.

When the caps are tossed into the air and the applause rings out, it will be a reminder that education is still a journey worth walking, with moments like these serving as milestones along the way.
