AKSCOE Convocation Ceremony 2025: Full Schedule and Guests
Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit, has fixed Friday, 3 October 2025, for its 8th to 13th Combined Convocation Ceremony. The programme will include commissioning of TETFund projects, awards to graduands, and a lecture by a guest professor. All staff, students, parents, and members of the public are warmly invited.
The Akwa Ibom State College of Education (AKSCOE), Afaha Nsit, is rolling out the drums for its 8th to 13th Combined Convocation Ceremony. The event will not only mark academic achievements but also showcase the commissioning of projects supported by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). The date has been fixed for Friday, 3 October 2025, at the College Sports Grounds, starting from 9:00 a.m.
Distinguished Guests and Dignitaries
Convocations often bring together people from all walks of life, and this one is no different. According to a notice signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Academic Board, Barrister Augustine E. Udoibit, the following will grace the stage:
- His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Visitor of the College, as Special Guest of Honour
- Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari CFR, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TETFund and former Governor of Katsina State, as Guest of Honour
- Professor Ubong E. Umoh, Commissioner for Education, as Chairman of the Ceremony
- Professor Matthew Nsing Ogar of the University of Cross River State, Calabar, as Guest Lecturer
The blend of political leaders, seasoned academics, and state officials underlines the weight placed on this ceremony.
Graduating Classes Covered
The convocation will celebrate the achievements of students who began their studies from the 2015/2016 session up to the 2019/2020 session.
