AKSU Scam Alert: Fraudulent Clearance Requests Exposed

The Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) wishes to inform everyone of an ongoing scam involving a person pretending to be an official of the university.

This individual, named Dr. Sunny, claims to work in the Exams & Records Division of AKSU. He uses account details under the name Dada O. at UBA Bank (2053XXXX) and demands money for the final clearance of graduating students.

This person is not an employee of Akwa Ibom State University and does not act on behalf of the university.

Official Procedures for AKSU Services

The university advises that any matters related to the following services must be conducted through the Office of the Director of Academic Affairs at Akwa Ibom State University, Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin:

• Final clearance for graduating students
• Issuance of notification of degree results
• Request for transcripts
• Collection of degree certificates
• Verification of academic documents

There are no financial charges for these services when handled through the proper channels at AKSU.

Warning to Students and the Public

Anyone dealing with Dr. Sunny in matters concerning the university does so at their own risk.

All transactions or requests related to academic records must only be carried out through the designated university office.

Avoid falling victim to this scam by ensuring that any official business is handled directly with Akwa Ibom State University.
