Online screening dates fixed
The Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKUM) has opened its gates, at least virtually, to applicants for the 2025/2026 admission year. Both UTME and Direct Entry candidates are expected to take part in the Post UTME screening, which has been scheduled between 14th September and 27th September 2025. The process is entirely online, so no campus queues this time.
Who is eligible for AKUM Post UTME
To sit on the safe side, candidates must:
- Choose AKUM as their first choice in JAMB.
- Meet the minimum UTME score set for their faculty or programme.
- Direct Entry applicants must also provide their registration details as issued by JAMB.
It’s worth stressing again, eligibility is tied to these conditions. Anyone outside them might find the door firmly closed.
Step-by-step method of application
Step 1: Login
Visit the AKUM application portal and select “Application Portal.”
Step 2: Profile update
- UTME candidates should login using their JAMB registration number as username, and any of their names as password.
- Direct Entry candidates will use their DE registration number the same way.
Once in, complete the form. Note that the passport photo from JAMB remains the official ID picture throughout your study.
Step 3: Payment
Fund your online wallet with N2,000.00. After paying, generate and print the acknowledgement slip immediately. This slip is like your ticket, so keep it safe.
Other information candidates must note
- O’ Level results must be uploaded on both JAMB CAPS and the AKUM portal. This applies to A’ Level results for Direct Entry too.
- Only those who upload their results on both platforms will be recommended for admission.
- Giving false information will lead to outright disqualification.
- You can combine at most two sittings of O’ Level results.

- Missing the deadline, from 14th to 27th September 2025, means you are out of the race for this session.
