Al-Hikmah University Postgraduate Admission Form 2025/2026

Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin has announced the commencement of sales for its postgraduate admission forms for the 2025/2026 academic session. Qualified applicants are invited to apply for the available Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and Master’s degree programmes.
The Master of Arts (M.A.) degree programmes at Al-Hikmah University run for a minimum of 12 calendar months and a maximum of 24 months on a full-time basis. The Postgraduate Diploma in Education is offered on a part-time basis.

Al-Hikmah University Postgraduate Admission Requirements
(i) Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):
Applicants must possess a first degree from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin or any other recognised university. Candidates with Higher National Diploma (HND) are also eligible, provided they meet the university’s O’level requirements.
(ii) Master’s Degree:
Applicants for the Master’s degree programme must hold at least a Second Class Lower degree from Al-Hikmah University or any recognised university. Candidates with a Third Class degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in a related field may be considered if they score a minimum of 60% in the qualifying examination conducted by the department.
(iii) Doctorate Degree (Ph.D):
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree from Al-Hikmah University or another recognised university with at least 60% or its CGPA equivalent. Applicants with a lower score (not below 50%) may apply for M.Phil/Ph.D. All applicants for Ph.D and M.Phil/Ph.D will be required to attend an interview conducted by the respective departments.
All applicants should request their official transcripts to be sent to the Dean, Postgraduate School, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.
How to Apply for Al-Hikmah University Postgraduate Admission
- Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma programme are to pay N10,000, while those applying for Master’s and Ph.D programmes are to pay N20,000 online via the Al-Hikmah University admission portal.
- Complete the online form and print the submitted copy.
- Present the printed form to the Bursary Department to obtain the official receipt.
- Submit the completed form with original and photocopies of credentials and the official receipt at the Admissions Office for screening.
