- JAMB Admission: All candidates must have been offered admission through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) during their National Diploma (ND) programme. Those without an Admission Letter and Registration Number from JAMB for the ND programme are ineligible for HND admission. This is crucial as such individuals may not be qualified for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
- National Diploma (ND) Certificate: Candidates should possess the ND of the Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification from recognized institutions. They must also have a National Diploma Certificate in the course they intend to study at the HND level.
