Eligibility Criteria for Prospective Students
To be eligible for admission into Augustine University, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Age Limit: You must be at least 16 years old by October of the admission year.
- Educational Background: You should have completed your secondary education and secured at least five O’Level Credit passes in not more than two sittings in the West African SSCE/GCE/NECO or equivalents. These must include English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects relevant to your chosen course.
- Provision for Awaited Results: Candidates awaiting their SSCE/GCE results can also apply.
- UTME Examination: AUI should be your first choice in the UTME examinations. If not, you’ll need to process a change of institution on the JAMB portal once provisional admission is granted.
- Direct Entry: Applicants via Direct Entry are welcome.
Admission Requirements
Admission to Augustine University involves several steps:
- JAMB: All admissions are processed through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
- For 100 level (UTME): Besides the O’Level requirements, you must pass the UTME as specified by JAMB and meet the university’s specific requirements in a Post-UTME screening for your chosen course.
- For 200 level (Direct Entry): In addition to the O’Level credits, you should have at least two A’level passes, an NCE, or a relevant first degree in another field.
How to Apply
Follow these simple steps to apply to AUI:
- Payment: Pay a non-refundable application fee of N5,500 through E-tranzact or via the online payment option on our application portal.
- Registration: Visit the undergraduate admission page, click on ‘New Application’, and fill in all required fields. Click the “Sign Up” button once completed.
- Confirmation: Check your email for a confirmation message containing your application number, which you will need to log into your AUI account. Check your spam folder if the email isn’t in your inbox.
