Admission Requirements
General Requirements
To be considered for admission at AUN, you must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum JAMB score of 160 or the official cut-off score set by JAMB for the year.
- Five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two SSCE sittings, or an equivalent from another country.
Specific Requirements for Engineering and Technology
For Engineering and Technology disciplines:
- Five credits in SSCE or GCE ‘O’ Level, including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and Chemistry.
- An acceptable pass in UTME.
- Credits in Further Mathematics and Technical Drawing are advantageous.
Requirements for Bachelor of Laws (LLB Honours)
For the LLB Honours programme:
- A credit in Literature-in-English in addition to the general requirements.
Note on Admissions
Meeting these requirements does not guarantee admission. The AUN admissions committee will evaluate all applications, and only those with the highest scores and qualifications will be accepted. Factors considered include JAMB scores, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, IGCSE results, and high school transcripts from SS1, SS2, and SS3.

- Required Documents
- Completed application form.
- SSCE results (WAEC/NECO/GCE/IGCSE/NABTEB).
- High school transcripts (SS1-3).
- Letter of Recommendation from your high school principal.
- JAMB result (minimum score of 160).
- ID card (International passport, Driver’s license, or National ID card).
- Personal essay explaining why you chose AUN and your future ambitions.
Direct Entry/Transfer Requirements
For Direct Entry or Transfer students:
- Completed application form.
- Diploma result (NCE/OND/HND) or ‘A’ Level.
- Official transcripts.
- SSCE results (WAEC/NECO/GCE/IGCSE/NABTEB).
- Direct entry JAMB or IJMB.
- Recommendation letter.
International Students
For international applicants:
- High/Secondary School External Examination Grades (IGCSE, SSCE, or equivalent).
- High/Secondary School transcripts for the last three years.
- Undergraduate transcripts and course descriptions for transfer applicants.
- Letter of Recommendation/Attestation.
- Personal Statement (essay) about choosing AUN and future ambitions.
- Photocopy of ID card, valid passport, and appropriate visa.
- Four passport photographs.
Travel and Residency Requirements
International students must:
- Possess a valid national passport.
- Secure a valid travel visa covering the study period.
- Present travel documents to the Office of the VP Campus Life & Dean, Student Affairs at AUN upon arrival.
- Ensure passports and visas are valid for at least six months.
- Arrange on-campus accommodation through the Bursar at bursar@aun.edu.ng.
