BECOHTECH Job Vacancies for Lecturers

Bishop Camillus Etokudoh College of Health Sciences and Technology, also called BECOHTECH, needs new lecturers and assistant lecturers for its Community and Public Health Department. The college sits in Urua Akpan, Essien Udim LGA, Akwa Ibom State. These roles are open to both full-time and part-time teachers.

What You Will Do

• Teach and Set Courses
  
  Plan and run lessons in Public Health, Community Health, and Health Education. Check and grade students’ work.
• Guide Students
  
  Help students find their feet in their studies. Give advice and support both in class and in practical training.
• Work in the Community
  
  Create projects with local groups and show students how to work with people outside the classroom.
• Research
  
  Take part in studies that matter to public health and write up what you find. Team up with others on local health projects.
• Stay Current
  
  Learn about new trends in public health and share what you find with your students and co-workers.

Who Can Apply?

For Lecturer

• Must have a Master’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, Nursing, Environmental Health, Medical Laboratory Science, or similar.
• Two to five years’ teaching experience in public health.

For Assistant Lecturer

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, or similar.
• Some teaching or work experience helps, but fresh graduates can try.
• A year or more in teaching or working with public health counts as a plus.
• Know your way around community health ideas, health systems, and ways to keep people healthy.
• You should care about teaching and growing new health workers.
• Speak and write clearly. You must explain things in a simple way.
