Borno State University (BOSU) Vice-Chancellor

The Governing Council of Borno State University (BOSU) has announced the appointment of Engr. Professor Babagana Gutti as the new substantive Vice-Chancellor.

This appointment, which took effect on October 18, 2024, was approved by Professor (Engr.) Babagana Umara Zulum, the Executive Governor of Borno State and Visitor to the University.

Professor Gutti’s Role as Vice-Chancellor

As the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babagana Gutti will serve a single five-year term, during which he will lead the university’s academic and administrative functions.

He will oversee the daily management of human, financial, and material resources of BOSU.

In addition, he will chair the University’s Senate and hold an ex-officio membership on the Governing Council.
