Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has banned the use of electronic hot plates in students hostel.

BUK Bans Electronic Hot Plates in Students Hostel

The Management has observed that some students have been using electronic hot plates for cooking. In view of the danger associated with the use of such appliances and the desire to avoid any catastrophe, the Management is hereby banning the use of all forms of electronic hot plates in cooking forthwith.

Anyone caught violating this order would be ejected out of the hostel.

In the same vein, no student is allowed to cook inside the room.

It should be noted that the Management has put in place mechanism of enforcing this order.
