Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has announced the expulsion of 60 students drawn from various departments, over alleged involvement in examination misconduct.
The decision came from the University Senate; it was taken at the 431st meeting held on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, after the relevant academic and disciplinary committees submitted their recommendations.

The Senate stated that the affected students were found culpable of different forms of examination misconduct, and the committees recommended expulsion in line with the university’s extant regulations.
