Nigeria Police Force Recruitment for Police Constables
The Nigeria Police Force has announced a large-scale recruitment exercise for eligible Nigerians. The Police Service Commission, working with the Nigeria Police Force, is inviting applications for enlistment as Police Constables.
This recruitment follows a directive from the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The process is open to candidates who meet the stated requirements.

Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Nigerian citizen by birth
- Physically and mentally fit
- Free from debt or financial trouble
- Of good character
- No criminal conviction
- Two character referees required
- General duty applicants aged 18 to 25 years
- Specialist applicants not above 28 years
- Female applicants must not be pregnant during entry and training
- Free from physical conditions such as poor eyesight, flat foot, bow legs, or limb deformities
- Minimum height for general duty applicants:
- Males: 1.67 m
- Females: 1.64 m
- Male general duty applicants must have a chest size of at least 86 cm
Academic and professional qualifications
General duty applicants
- GCE O Level, SSCE, NECO, or equivalent
- At least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics
- Results from no more than two sittings
Specialist applicants
- GCE O Level, SSCE, NECO, or equivalent
- At least four credits, including English Language and Mathematics
- Results from no more than two sittings
- At least three years of work experience
- Relevant trade test certificates required

How to apply
Applications must be completed online through the Nigeria Police Force recruitment portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng.
Applicants must have:
- A valid National Identification Number
- An active email address and phone number
- Scanned copies of First School Leaving Certificate, SSCE results, LGA or State of Origin certificate, and birth certificate
Specialist applicants must also upload trade test certificates. Drivers are required to upload a valid driver’s licence.
Screening and important notes
All applicants will take part in physical screening, medical checks, aptitude tests, and background verification. The process will be closely monitored to ensure fairness.
