Caleb University’s Law Programme Gains CLE Accreditation

The Council of Legal Education (CLE) has granted accreditation to Caleb University’s Law programme. This approval comes with an increase in the admission quota from 50 to 110, effective from the 2024/2025 academic session.

Details of the Accreditation

The announcement was made through a letter signed by Ms. A. O. Osho, Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration. The decision followed the CLE Accreditation Panel’s visit to Caleb University’s College of Law at the City Campus, Magodo, on 10 and 11 October 2024.

Statement from Caleb University

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie, expressed satisfaction with the decision. He acknowledged the contributions of young legal minds, experienced scholars, and Senior Advocates of Nigeria. He also highlighted the collaboration with the Lagos State Judiciary in strengthening the Law programme.

Impact of the Quota Increase

The Council attributed the increase in Caleb University’s admission quota to consistent investments and compliance with standards. This change recognises the University’s discipline and commitment to providing quality legal education.

Opportunities for Aspiring Students

The approval offers a larger platform for students to pursue their ambitions in legal studies. The programme is expected to attract more learners and maintain its reputation for excellence in the field of law.

This development signals growth for the institution and its role in shaping the future of legal education.
