Ondo State College of Health Technology, Akure (COHELTECHA), formerly known as Ondo State School of Health Technology, Akure (SOHELTECHA), invites applications from qualified candidates for admission into HND, Diploma, and Certificate programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session.

COHELTECHA offers a variety of programs across different departments, including:

• Department of Health Information Management
• Department of Environmental Health
• Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences
• Department of Community Health
• Dental Technician
• Department of Public Health Nursing (HND)
• Department of Pharmacy Technician (Pha)

Admission Requirements

The admission requirements for the various programs are as follows:

a. Medical Laboratory Technicians: Candidates must have at least five (5) credit level passes in SSCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB, including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, obtained within a five-year period before enrollment with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

b. Dental Technicians: Candidates must have at least five (5) credit level passes in SSCE/WAEC/NECO, including English Language, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. Results must be from the same examination body (e.g., NECO/NECO, WAEC/WAEC).

c. Environmental Health Technician: Admission requirements for Environmental Health Technician include at least three credits and two passes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Geography, and Agriculture.

To apply, follow these steps:

1. Visit the COHELTECHA website at http://www.soheltecha.edu.ng
2. Click on the “Services/Units” tab
3. Select “Payment” and then “Admission form”
4. Choose your preferred payment method (manual or online (https://www.soheltecha.edu.ng/))
5. After payment, fill out the application form and submit
6. Print the acknowledgment slip for reference and exams
