These programmes are for registered nurses and midwives who want to grow in public health practice or midwifery care.
Mode of application
All steps take place in the college. The process is simple:
- Pay the sum of Thirty-Five Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (₦35,500) only into the College Account.
- Take the evidence of payment to the College Bursary.
- Collect an official receipt from the College Bursary.
- Present the receipt at the Registry Department to collect the admission form.
- Fill the form carefully in clear writing.
- Attach all required documents.
- Submit the completed form and documents at the Registry Department.
Prospective students should keep copies of all payment slips and receipts for their records.
Entry requirements
Applicants must meet all the following requirements:
- At least five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Credits must be in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB
- National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) certificate or any other basic Nursing certificate, such as Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)
- At least one year post-qualification experience after RN, RM or other basic Nursing certificate
Only candidates who meet these requirements will be considered for the HND Public Health Nursing or HND Midwifery programme.
Documents to attach when submitting the form
Applicants should present both the originals and photocopies of the documents listed below and also attach photocopies to the form:
- First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
- West African Senior School Certificate (WASC) or WAEC result
- NECO result (if used)
- ND, RN, RM or other basic Nursing certificate, as applicable
- Birth certificate or sworn declaration of age
- Certificate of origin
- Two recent passport-sized photographs on white background
- Two phone numbers of sponsor or sponsors
The Registry Department will check the documents before final submission.

- Closing date for sale and submission of forms: 28 November 2025
- Screening date: 1 December 2025
