DELSU Part-Time Admission Form

The Delta State University (DELSU) part-time degree programmes admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session is now available. The Centre for Continuing Education Programmes (CCEP) at DELSU invites applications from qualified candidates for its 5-year and 4-year part-time degree programmes.

Faculty of Arts

B.A. English

  • 5-Year Programme: NECO, S.S.C.E., or G.C.E. ‘O’ Level Credit passes in five subjects, including English Language and Literature in English, and one Arts subject plus a pass in Mathematics or one science subject or a credit pass in any of the Social Science subjects.
  • 4-Year Programme: At least merit passes in two Arts subjects including English Language or Literature in English at G.C.E ‘A’ Level, or O.N.D. with Upper Credit in English and Literary Studies, along with five credits at ‘O’ Level.

B.A. Philosophy

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language and four others, with at least a pass in Mathematics.
  • 4-Year Programme: Two ‘A’ Level passes in any Arts/Management or Social Sciences, including five O/Level credits with English Language and a pass in Mathematics.

B.A. Theatre Arts

  • 5-Year Programme: Five credits including English Language and Literature in English, CRS/Civic Education, History/Government, and any other Art or Social Science subject.
  • 4-Year Programme: NCE (Merit and above) in Theatre Arts or related Arts, plus the required five O/Level credits.

B.A. Religious Studies

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, CRS/Islamic Religious Studies, two other subjects from Arts/Social Sciences, and at least a pass in Mathematics.
  • 4-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits combined with two ‘A’ Level credits including English Language and Religious Knowledge.

B.Ed. Guidance and Counselling

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.

B.Ed. Early Childhood and Primary Education

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
  • 4-Year Programme: NCE with merit passes in two relevant subjects, plus five O/Level credits.

B.Sc. (Ed.) Biology Education

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • 4-Year Programme: Merit passes in Biology at NCE and in either Chemistry or Geography.

B.Sc. (Ed.) Computer Science Education

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • 4-Year Programme: Merit passes in Chemistry at NCE and Education or any other subject, or GCE ‘A’ Level passes including Physics.

B.Sc. (Ed.) Economics Education

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and one other Social Science subject.
  • 4-Year Programme: NCE credit in Social Studies or Diploma in Social Studies/Social Work with Lower Credit.

B.Sc. (Ed.) Human Kinetics, Recreation and Sports Sciences

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, and a credit pass in Biology, Health Science or Physical Education.
  • 4-Year Programme: NCE credit in Physical and Health Education, GCE ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics, or a merit pass in related diplomas.

B.Sc. (Ed.) Business Education

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics.
  • 4-Year Programme: OND in Business Administration, Accounting, or Office Technology Management with Upper Credit, plus five O/Level credits.

Faculty of Management Sciences

B.Sc. Accounting

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics.
  • 4-Year Programme: GCE ‘A’ Level passes in Accounting or Economics, or HND from approved Polytechnics or Colleges of Technology, plus five O/Level credits.

B.Sc. Banking and Finance

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics.

B.Sc. Business Administration

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and/or Commerce, plus any other two Social/Management Science subjects.
  • 4-Year Programme: GCE ‘A’ Level passes in Accounting or Economics, or OND in relevant disciplines with Upper Credit, plus five O/Level credits.

B.Sc. Marketing

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and/or Commerce, plus any other two Social/Management Science subjects.

Faculty of Social Sciences

B.Sc. Economics

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one Social Science subject, and any other subject.

B.Sc. Political Science

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Government, and any other two subjects, one of which must be a Social Science subject.
  • 4-Year Programme: GCE ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects or DELSU Diploma in Public Administration with merit, plus five O/Level credits.

B.Sc. Sociology

  • 5-Year Programme: Five O/Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, two Social Science subjects, and any other subject.
  • 4-Year Programme: Merit passes in two ‘A’ Level subjects, including a Social Science subject, or DELSU Diploma and OND with merit passes.

How to Apply for DELSU Part-Time Admission Form

  1. Visit the DELSU portal to generate a virtual pin for N20,000.00, payable at Ecobank, Unity Bank, Zenith Bank, or UBA.
  2. Procedure to Generate Virtual Pin:
    • Visit the DELSU portal.
    • Click on Online Registration.
    • Select Start.
    • Choose Part-Time Programme.
    • Click Start again.
    • Submit the form and generate the pin.
    • Print out the pin generated.
    • Visit the specified bank for payment.
  3. Use the payment pin (valid for six hours only) to complete the Delta State University, Abraka, 2024/2025 Part-Time Degree Form online at the DELSU portal with your recent coloured passport-sized photograph (JPEG format, 20kb in size).
  4. Important Notes:
    • Use the virtual pin immediately after payment, as it will be invalid after six hours.
    • Read the instructions on the website’s front page before completing the form.
  5. Exam Day Requirements:
    • A copy of the print-out of completed online confirmation of application.
    • Two recent passport-sized colour photographs with full names and signature on the reverse side.
    • Four-figure table (if applicable), biro, HB pencil, and eraser.

Note:

  • Applicants must register with JAMB immediately after purchase of forms.
  • Applicants who already have NYSC discharge certificates or who are not interested in NYSC exemption letters need not register with JAMB.
