The Esangbedo Humanitarian Foundation (EHF) has opened applications for the Dominic Esangbedo Tertiary Education Scholarship (DETES) 2025. This scheme was set up in memory of the late Dominic Ekodon Esangbedo, a man who held education close to his heart. His vision was simple: give young people the means to learn, grow, and shape a safer future.
The scholarship is focused on students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). It is not just about grades on paper, but also about the spirit to give back to the community.
Who can apply
The scholarship is divided into two main categories:
- Category 1: Igueben Local Government Area
- Must be an indigene of Igueben, Edo State.
- Enrolled in a STEM course at a public institution in Edo State.
- Minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 5.0 scale.
- Female students and vulnerable groups are strongly encouraged.
- Category 2: Other LGAs in Edo State
- Must be an indigene of Edo State, but outside Igueben.
- Must also be studying STEM in a public institution within the state.
- Minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale.
- Female students and vulnerable groups are encouraged here too.
