EAUED warns students against NEOLIFE activities and recruitment

Emmanuel Alayande University of Education (EAUED), Oyo, has issued a notice on what it described as illegal activities linked to a group called NEOLIFE. The university management said it received reports that NEOLIFE recruits students to join its business, and that the alleged conduct affects students’ academic progress.

The notice also claims that some students who joined and later tried to opt out faced harassment and torment from the so called NEOLIFE; the university said this situation is humiliating.

What the management says students must stop doing

EAUED management directed students to take these steps with immediate effect:

  1. All students must quit working with NEOLIFE immediately.
  2. Students must stop recruiting fellow students for NEOLIFE, on campus and outside the campus.

The message is direct; no student is meant to continue any NEOLIFE-related work or recruitment after this notice.

Deadline for current NEOLIFE members

For students already involved, EAUED stated a deadline to exit the group:

That date stands as the final day mentioned in the notice for resignation.

Disciplinary action for defaulters

EAUED warned that any student caught working for, or recruiting for, NEOLIFE after this notice will face disciplinary action. The university also stated that it will not tolerate involvement with NEOLIFE organisation activities going forward.

The notice added that spies will be deployed to fish out erring students (that is the exact claim made in the statement, and it is part of the warning).

Where students can get help

Students who have concerns or need assistance to quit NEOLIFE were told to reach out to the DSA office. The notice asked students to prioritise their safety and well-being; the support channel named is the DSA office.
