FULAFIA resumption update: online till 30 Jan 2026

The Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) has changed its resumption plan because work is taking longer than expected on the hostels being repaired on campus.

In an internal memo from the Office of the Registrar, dated 26 December 2025, the university told students that lectures will stay online until 30 January 2026. The memo said the change was needed because the renovation at the student hostels is moving at a slow pace.

The management also said the hostel portal will open on 12 January 2026. After that, hostel and room allocation will start on 19 January 2026. Students are expected to return fully for physical academic activities on campus by 30 January 2026.

Students have been told to keep joining online lectures from home until the new date for full return.

The university management apologised for the stress the change may cause and asked students to show understanding and co-operation.
