Egbin Power Plc operates one of the largest power plants in Sub-Saharan Africa.
This power station plays a key role in meeting the electricity needs of Lagos and nearby areas.
Following Nigeria’s privatisation efforts, Sahara Power Group, through its power division, acquired the Egbin Power Plant with a 1,320 MW installed capacity.
Plans are in place to generate 5,000 MW of electricity within the next five years.

Participate in Egbin PowerUp Internship Programme
The Egbin PowerUp Internship Programme offers practical training to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world experience.
This programme develops skills, builds confidence, and enhances creativity and problem-solving abilities.
The internship runs from January to June 2025.
Eligible Fields of Study
Applicants should be studying in one of these areas:
- Engineering
- Chemistry
- Computer Science
Application Criteria
Students must have a Second Class Upper (2:1) or an equivalent grade at the time of application.
