Enugu State 2025 Scholarship Awards

The Enugu State Scholarship and Education Loans Board under the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah is calling on all interested indigenes of Enugu State to apply for the 2025 Scholarship Awards — graciously approved by His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Executive Governor of Enugu State.
Available scholarship categories include:
- Undergraduate Scholarship — 500 slots for only 100 and 200 level students in any tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Teachers’ Scholarship — 1000 slots for indigenous teachers in Enugu State Government schools who aspire to obtain their master’s degree and are willing to teach and form our children for a period of 10 years after the scholarship award.
- Postgraduate Scholarship — 100 slots (Masters and PhD) in Nigeria universities.
Eligibility Criteria:
Required Documents Include:
- Valid LGA of origin Identification Letter
- Valid Admission Letter
- Letter of Acceptance of Admission
- Attestation Letter from your Traditional Ruler (HRH)
- And for teachers — an Employment Letter with the above documents.
- Passport Photograph.
How to Apply:
- Visit apply.esselb.en.gov.ng
- Select your scholarship category:
- Undergraduate Scholarship
- Teachers Scholarship
- Postgraduate Scholarship (choose only one category)
- Fill in your details, upload all required documents in one PDF file (not more than 2MB), and submit.
Applications start 14th November 2025 and end 12: am 28th November 2025 for undergraduates and post graduate applicants while teacher’s application will end on 8th December, 2025.
The examination will be an online CBT, so you can participate from anywhere. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the online exam. Ensure your internet connection is strong for the exam.
Visually impaired students in 100 and 200 level can also apply.
