ESUT 45th matriculation ceremony 2026: orientation dates, gown fees, and payment steps

Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has announced the date for its 45th Matriculation Ceremony. The memo also sets out the two-day orientation exercise for fresh students, plus the approved fees for academic gown hire and matriculation packages.

ESUT matriculation date

The 45th Matriculation Ceremony will hold on Friday, 20 February 2026.

Orientation exercise for new students

In line with ESUT tradition, the University will hold a two-day orientation exercise for new students on:

• Wednesday, 18 February 2026
• Thursday, 19 February 2026

During the exercise, each student will receive matriculation packages and an academic gown after payment of the approved cost of services; students should come prepared.

Approved fees for gowns and matriculation packages

The memo listed the approved charges as follows:

Hiring of academic gown (undergraduate)

• N10,000

Hiring of academic gown (postgraduate)

• N15,000

Matriculation packages (undergraduate and postgraduate)

• N5,000

These fees cover the gown hire and the matriculation package; students should confirm their category and pay the correct amount.

How fresh students should generate an invoice and pay

The University directed all fresh students (undergraduate and postgraduate) to visit the ESUT student portal.

After opening the portal, the student should:

1. Select Sundry Fees to generate an invoice for the academic gown and matriculation packages; then
2. Proceed to any commercial bank to make payment using the generated invoice.

That is the stated payment route; students who skip the invoice step may run into trouble at the point of payment.
