First Class Muslim Foundation (FCM Foundation) has opened applications for its Undergraduate Learning Support Programme (Male) 2026.
This is a scholarship and mentorship programme for male Muslim undergraduate students who show strong academic ability. The programme provides Islamic mentorship and academic support, including stipends, to selected scholars; the goal is to support academically strong students with sound Islamic and moral background.

- University of Lagos, Akoka
- Lagos State University, Ojo

Who Can Apply (Eligibility Criteria)
Applicants must meet these criteria:
- 100 level male Muslim undergraduates
- full-time student at one of the eligible institutions
- between 16 and 19 years old
- minimum of six credit passes in SSCE in one sitting
- scored a minimum of 250 in the last UTME taken before admission
- physically, mentally and psychologically stable
- good moral conduct and leadership abilities
That list is strict; candidates who miss a key point may lose the chance.
Documents to Upload
Applicants are required to upload the following during the application:
- JAMB admission letter
- evidence of current studentship (ID card, biodata form, etc.)
- reference letter from a reputable Islamic organisation (institution-based student organisations are not acceptable)
Reference letter rules (as stated) are specific:
- the letter must be on letterheaded paper and addressed to The Executive Director, First Class Muslim Foundation, Lagos, Nigeria
- the letter should speak to the applicant’s character and should not be generic
- improperly addressed or generic letters lead to disqualification
Other required documents include:
- birth certificate or affidavit of age
- original WAEC result
- original UTME result
- current result slip showing student GPA (if available)
Personal Statement Rules
Applicants must submit a personal statement to convince panellists why the applicant should be considered for the scholarship.
The rules given include:
- word limit: 300
- font type: Century Gothic
- font size: 12
- spacing: 1.5
- full name written at the top of the document
The foundation also states that unethical use of AI tools to generate or significantly adjust/review personal statements is prohibited. It adds that all personal statements will be tested for plagiarism or AI-derivation; AI detection beyond 20% is not acceptable, and disregard leads to disqualification from current and future opportunities from the foundation. That warning is part of the notice, so candidates should take it seriously.
