Federal Polytechnic, Idah sets final registration and documentation dates for ND I and HND I

The Federal Polytechnic, Idah has announced the start of the final registration and documentation exercise for all National Diploma I (ND I) and Higher National Diploma I (HND I) students for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.

An internal memo from the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) sets the schedule; the exercise begins on Monday, Jan 19, 2026 and ends on Friday, 6 February 2026.

Registration window, venue, and reporting time

The Polytechnic directs affected students to report to the New Convocation Square for the documentation exercise.

The reporting time is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day within the stated period (students are expected to keep to the time window, not a later hour).

Students covered by the directive

The memo applies to ND I and HND I students for the 2024/2025 session. The notice uses a single instruction for both groups, yet the message is specific: attendance at the documentation point remains a condition for full registration.

A student who does not complete the final documentation will be regarded as not fully registered; that line sits at the centre of the directive.

Late registration surcharge and what it means

The Polytechnic states that any student who fails to meet the registration deadline will be required to pay a late registration surcharge of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00).

The memo also asks students to treat the exercise seriously; the language is formal, but the expectation is plain.

Communication to students and signatory

Heads of Academic Departments have been directed to communicate the contents of the memo to all affected students for strict compliance (the instruction runs through Departments for reach).

The notice was signed by S. Idegwu, Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Admissions), on behalf of the Registrar.

Copies of the memo were circulated to principal officers, including the Rector, Deputy Rectors, Registrar, Bursar, Polytechnic Librarian, Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments; it was also posted on official notice boards.
