Federal Polytechnic, Nekede SIWES Orientation for ND 1 Students

The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede invites all ND1 students from Morning, Evening, and Weekend programmes to the upcoming SIWES Orientation.

This one-day event is set to guide students through the essential aspects of the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), ensuring a smooth start to this critical part of their academic journey.

Date and Time of the Orientation

The SIWES Orientation will take place on Tuesday, 29th October 2024.

Students are expected to arrive at the School Pavilion by 10:00 am for the prompt start of the programme.

Purpose of the Orientation

The orientation is crucial for all ND1 students as it provides detailed guidance on the requirements and expectations during the SIWES programme.

Students will learn how to complete their SIWES logbooks, understand their roles during the industrial attachment, and gain insight into how to excel in their chosen fields during the placement period.

SIWES Logbook Collection

Please note that the distribution of SIWES logbooks will take place at the end of the orientation programme.

Students are required to attend the event to receive their logbooks, as it is a mandatory step in the SIWES process.
