Fed Poly Idah Orientation 2025/2026: Dates & Time

Federal Polytechnic, Idah has released the schedule for the 2025/2026 orientation programme for newly admitted students. The Polytechnic issued the schedule after the Academic Board approved the academic calendar; fresh students are expected to take part within the stated dates.

Orientation dates

The orientation programme will run from 23 February to 28 February 2026; the memo highlights sessions that cover core academic and examination guidelines.

Day 1: Departmental orientation

Date: Monday, 23 February 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Venue: To be decided by respective Heads of Departments

The Departmental Orientation will cover:

• the semester system
• calculation of Grade Point Average (GPA)
• registration procedures

Heads of Departments and Exams Officers will serve as speakers; new students should come ready to listen and take notes, then Act on the guidance.

Day 2: Schools orientation programme

Date: Tuesday, 24 February 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Venue: To be fixed by the Deans of various schools

The Schools Orientation Programme will focus on:

• examination conduct
• examination misconduct and penalties
• other examination-related matters

School Exams Officers and Deans will handle the presentations; students are expected to follow the rules laid out during the session.

Memo source and instruction to the Polytechnic community

The schedule was issued through an internal memo from the Dean of Student Affairs. The Polytechnic community has been asked to note the programme and ensure full participation of newly admitted students; that instruction stands across the orientation period.
