Nekede Poly Renames School of Humanities and Social Science

The Academic Board of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede has renamed the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) to School of General Studies (SGS). The decision was taken at its 579 Emergency meeting of 12th July 2021 at the Council Chambers.

It should be noted that National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) gave the directive stating that the new name must be effective before the next Accreditation Exercise. The Accreditation date is however scheduled to hold from 2nd-6th August 2021. In view of this, therefore, this change of nomenclature is with IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
