FG Moves to End Exam Malpractice, Warns Offenders
The Federal Ministry of Education is cracking down on exam malpractice. Offenders will face legal action as the Ministry teams up with security agencies. Here’s what they plan and how everyone can play a part.
The Federal Ministry of Education has had enough of the mess surrounding exams. Cheating has eaten deep into the system, and the Ministry says it’s time to clean things up.
Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, the Ministry has doubled down on its pledge to fight all forms of exam malpractice across Nigeria.
What Will Happen Next?
From now on, anyone caught helping or engaging in exam malpractice will face legal action. The Ministry isn’t doing this alone either. They’ve teamed up with the Nigeria Police, DSS, and other agencies. Backed by the Examination Malpractice Act of 1999, they’ve got the tools and the authority to act.
And they will.
Who’s Involved?
Everyone. That includes:
- Students
- Parents
- Teachers
- School heads
- The general public
No one’s left out. The Ministry wants everyone to do their part. If you see or hear something shady around exams, don’t keep quiet.
Why This Matters
The Ministry says Nigeria’s students deserve a system that rewards actual effort, not shortcuts. It’s not just about grades, it’s about building trust in our schools and the people who come out of them.
If we want certificates to mean something again, the fight starts here.
So if you’ve been cutting corners, maybe now’s the time to rethink. The Ministry isn’t just talking this time. They’re watching, and they’re ready to act.
