FG Reopens 47 Federal Unity Secondary Schools

The Federal Government has restated its steady focus on keeping students safe and keeping learning going, after reopening all 47 previously closed Federal Unity Secondary Schools.

These schools reopened earlier this month after security was strengthened within the campuses and nearby areas. Since then, lessons have started again without delays. Students have returned to hostels and classrooms safely. Some are wrapping up their December academic work, while others have already finished their exams.

The Federal Ministry of Education said the safety and well-being of students stays a main concern. Parents, guardians, and the wider public were assured that steps remain in place to protect learners. The Government keeps working with security agencies so school life stays calm and normal across the country.

Officials also restated their duty to protect every Nigerian child and to support the right to education in safe school spaces. This responsibility, they said, is not taken lightly.

Education is seen by the current administration as a key part of national growth. Because of this, there is a strong push to avoid breaks in the school calendar. The smooth return of students and the completion of exams in many Unity Colleges shows this stance clearly, even with the challenges around.
