Categories of Scholarships

1. Social Justice

The Social Justice Scholarship is dedicated to students working to eradicate systemic inequalities and promote social justice, including but not limited to issues of policing, anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, religious persecution, sexism, racism, and sexual violence.

2. Global Health

The Global Health Scholarship is designed to recognize and support students striving to improve global health and wellbeing, focusing on underprivileged communities. Recipients of this scholarship are expected to advance global health, promote healthcare equity, and develop innovative solutions to global health challenges.

3. Global Citizenship

The Global Citizenship Scholarship targets students passionate about promoting global citizenship and cultural understanding in the face of escalating global conflicts. The scholarship aims to award students committed to promoting mutual respect and understanding among diverse communities and individuals.

4. Environmental Sustainability

The Environmental Sustainability Scholarship aims to honor students committed to preserving Earth’s natural resources and reducing human-made environmental impacts. This scholarship is an investment in future leaders who will champion sustainability initiatives and environmental health.

Scholarship Award

For the 2023 academic year, the Flywire Charitable Foundation will be awarding sixteen total scholarships, each amounting to $5,000 USD.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship is open to all undergraduate students, irrespective of their majors, who are enrolled for the 2023 Fall term. Each student is eligible to apply for only one of the four scholarship categories. Though the applicants can hold citizenship from any country, they must be attending an institution located in one of the specified countries. Note that the scholarship cannot be deferred for future terms.
