Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi (FUAMB) has an approved calendar of dates and events for the 2025/2026 academic session. The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of Senate, approved the schedule as listed below; students and staff can track registration, lectures, breaks, examinations, and results meetings from it.
Registration for New and Returning Students
FUAMB set the main registration window for both new and returning students for 12 days:
- From: Monday 8th December, 2025
- To: Tuesday 23rd December, 2025
Some students move fast, others wait; that choice can affect the next step.
Christmas and New Year Break (Public Holidays Included)
The Christmas and New Year break covers public holidays for Christmas and Boxing Days (25th and 26th December) and New Year’s Day (1st January 2026).
- From: Wednesday 24th Dec, 2025
- To: Sunday 4th January, 2026
- Period: 8 days
Late Registration for All Students
Late registration runs for one week:
- From: Monday 5th January, 2026
- To: Saturday 10th January, 2026
This period sits right beside the lecture start date, so the timing matters.
1st Semester Lectures (Teaching Weeks)
FUAMB scheduled the lecture period for the 1st semester for 12 weeks:
- From: Monday 5th January, 2026
- To: Saturday 28th March, 2026
Lectures begin on the same date late registration opens; the overlap is real.
Add and Drop Window
The add and drop period runs for one week:
- From: Monday 12th January, 2026
- To: Saturday 17th January, 2026
This is the short window for course changes; missing it can leave a student stuck (and yes, that happens).
Matriculation for New Students
Matriculation for new students is fixed for one day:
- Date: Tuesday 27th January, 2026
Orientation for New Students
FUAMB scheduled orientation for three days:
- From: Tuesday 3rd February, 2026
- To: Thursday 5th February, 2026
Mid-Semester Break
The mid-semester break runs for one week:
- From: Monday 16th February, 2026
- To: Saturday 21st February, 2026
1st Semester Examinations
The 1st semester examinations are scheduled for two weeks:
- From: Monday 30th March, 2026
- To: Friday 10th April, 2026
Good Friday and Easter Monday Break
The calendar includes Good Friday and Easter Monday:
- From: Friday 3rd April, 2026
- To: Monday 6th April, 2026
- Period: 2 days
These dates fall inside the examination period; students may want to watch the timetable when it is released.
Marking Period for 1st Semester Exams
Marking is scheduled for one week:
- From: Monday 13th April, 2026
- To: Saturday 18th April, 2026
