FULAFIA 14th matriculation ceremony 2025/2026: date, time, venue, and gown details

Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) has released the schedule for its 14th Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Office of the Registrar (Academic Affairs Division) issued the notice, signed by the Deputy Registrar/Head, Academic Affairs, Mustapha Hanafi-Idiaro; the University community has been informed of the plans for newly admitted undergraduate students.

Matriculation date

The matriculation ceremony for newly admitted undergraduate students will hold on Tuesday, 17 February 2026.

Venue and start time

Venue: University Sports Complex, Permanent Site Campus, Lafia
Time: 10:00 a.m.

FULAFIA stated that proceedings will start at 10:00 a.m.; students and officials should Note the timing.

Procession time and participation rule

The notice stated that the procession will begin by 8:00 a.m..

Only students wearing matriculation gowns will be allowed to take part in the procession; this rule applies to all newly admitted undergraduates expected at the event.

Academic gown distribution

FULAFIA stated that distribution of academic gowns to faculty officers will begin on Friday, 13 February 2026.

The gowns will be provided at no cost to the new students; faculty officers will handle the distribution as stated in the notice.

Final note to students and relevant officials

Students and relevant University officials have been advised to make all necessary arrangements ahead of the ceremony; the aim is an orderly matriculation exercise on the scheduled date.
