FULAFIA postgraduate orientation and matriculation ceremonies

The Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA), through its College of Postgraduate Studies, has shared the full schedule for orientation and matriculation activities for newly admitted postgraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The update was contained in an internal memo signed by the College Secretary, Mrs. Aisha Lawal. The message was brief. Straight to the point.

FULAFIA sets dates for postgraduate orientation and matriculation ceremonies

Orientation comes first

The postgraduate orientation programme will take place on Wednesday, 21 January 2026. Proceedings are expected to begin by 9:00 a.m., without delays.

This session is meant to introduce new students to postgraduate life at FULAFIA. Academic rules. Expectations. How things run. No long stories.

Matriculation follows the next day

Matriculation for the same group of students is scheduled for Thursday, 22 January 2026, also starting at 9:00 a.m.

This ceremony formally confirms students as members of the postgraduate community. Missing it is not something students want to explain later.

Venue and mode of attendance

Physical attendance for both events will take place at the Mallam Adamu Adamu Twin Lecture Hall, located on the Lafia campus.

Students registered under online postgraduate programmes will not be left out. They are expected to take part virtually in both the orientation and matriculation sessions.

Registration matters

The College made one thing clear. All new postgraduate students must complete their registration before matriculation day. Participation depends on it. No registration, no matriculation. Simple.

The memo also encouraged members of the university community to be aware of the dates and support the smooth running of the ceremonies.

For new postgraduates, these dates matter. Plan around them. Show up ready.
