FUNAAB Donates Emergency Beds to FMC Abeokuta to Boost Emergency Response

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has donated four single-crank emergency beds to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Abeokuta.
This generous contribution aims to enhance the hospital’s ability to manage emergency cases.
The donation was made on behalf of the university by Dr. Oluseyi Anjorin, the acting director of FUNAAB Health Services.
The gesture came as an appreciation for the swift medical care FMC Abeokuta has consistently provided to FUNAAB’s staff and students.
Dr. Anjorin expressed that this donation reflects the university’s gratitude for the hospital’s prompt response to medical emergencies within the university community.
He added that these beds would help the hospital accommodate more patients in critical conditions, further ensuring excellent care for the university members and the broader community.
Receiving the beds on behalf of the hospital, Dr. Adekunle Ashimi, the Chief Medical Officer of the Accident and Emergency Unit, expressed sincere thanks to FUNAAB for the thoughtful support.
Dr. Ashimi mentioned that the beds would significantly increase the availability of equipment needed for handling emergency situations.
This donation is a part of FUNAAB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), showing the university’s dedication to supporting healthcare services in Ogun State.
