In a recent announcement by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olusola Kehinde, it was revealed that 122 students have achieved First Class honours in the upcoming 31st convocation ceremony of the institution. This milestone marks a significant achievement for the university and its students.

A Deep Dive into the Convocation Achievements

During a news conference at the university’s premises in Abeokuta, Prof. Kehinde highlighted the outstanding achievements of the students. Apart from the 122 first-class honours, a considerable number of students have excelled in other categories. Specifically, 1,540 students have secured Second Class honours (Upper Division), 1,705 with Second Class (Lower Division), and 187 have attained Third Class honours.

Beyond Undergraduate Success: Postgraduate Achievements

The Vice-Chancellor also emphasised the university’s success at the postgraduate level. A noteworthy 138 students have completed their Master’s degrees, while 48 have been awarded Doctoral degrees. This comprehensive success across various levels of higher education underlines FUNAAB’s role as a leading institution in academic rigor and research.

The Total Graduating Cohort

In total, the convocation, scheduled for Saturday, will see 3,574 students graduating.
