Main Duties
The Vice Chancellor will:

- Ensure compliance with statutes, ordinances, and regulations.

Candidate Requirements
Applicants for the FUOTUOKE Vice Chancellor Vacancy must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a good university degree, including a PhD.
- Be a Professor with at least six years of experience at that rank.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and administrative competence.
- Show evidence of academic excellence and personal integrity.

- Be physically and mentally fit for office.

Tenure and Conditions of Service
The successful candidate will be appointed for one non-renewable term of five years.
Salary and conditions of service are in line with those approved for Vice Chancellors of Federal Universities in Nigeria and subject to government and Council policies.

Applicants are to submit 25 copies of their application, each with a signed and dated curriculum vitae detailing:
- Full name, date of birth, nationality, contact details, and education.
- Academic qualifications and professional record.
- Key appointments, publications, completed postgraduate supervision, and community service.
- Copies of degree, NYSC, and relevant certificates.
Each applicant must include three referees, who should send their confidential reports directly to the Registrar, in sealed envelopes marked “Post of Vice-Chancellor: Referee’s Report” at the top left-hand corner.
Applicants must also attach 25 copies of a vision statement (not more than 500 words) outlining their ideas for advancing the University.
Candidates identified through the University’s internal search process must follow the same procedure and attach a signed letter of consent.
