FUTA Centre for Renewable Energy Technology Admission Form

The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Centre for Renewable Energy Technology (CRET) has opened its doors for admission into the 2023/2024 academic session.

Programmes Offered

The Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering (AGE), offers several postgraduate programmes in renewable energy technology.

Here are the available programmes:

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Renewable Energy Technology (RET)
2. Master’s Degree (M.Tech) in Green Hydrogen Energy Technology (GHET)
3. Master’s Degree (M.Tech) in Renewable Energy Technology (RET)
4. Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Renewable Energy Technology (RET)
5. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Renewable Energy Technology

Specializations for Ph.D

Ph.D candidates can choose from the following specializations:

1. Hydropower Systems
2. Solar Energy Systems
3. Wind Energy Systems
4. Hybrid Systems
5. Biomass and Waste Energy Systems
6. Strategic Energy Management

Admission Requirements

For the M.Tech programme, a relevant degree in Engineering or Science with a minimum grade of Lower Credit (2.2) is required.

For Ph.D candidates, a minimum of Upper Credit (3.5) or 60% in a relevant field is necessary.

Application Process

Candidates are to pay an application fee of ₦20,000.00.

Payments can be made via Remita by selecting FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, AKURE – 1000123 and choosing CRET Training.

Proof of payment should be sent to cret@futa.edu.ng.

School Fees

The school fees for each programme are as follows:

• Ph.D: ₦200,000.00 per session
• M.Phil/Ph.D: ₦250,000.00 per session
• M.Tech: ₦150,000.00 per session
