FUTA's 18 Programmes Get Full NUC Accreditation

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has achieved a significant milestone with the full accreditation of eighteen academic programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC). This accreditation, which is valid for five years starting from the 2023/2024 academic session, was granted based on the NUC’s assessment conducted between October and November 2023.

Importance of Accreditation

The accreditation process, as stated by the Acting Director of Accreditation at the NUC, Engineer Abraham Chundusu, ensures that academic programmes meet the minimum standards set by the Commission. This is crucial for maintaining the quality of education provided by universities in Nigeria.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Adenike Oladiji expressed her joy at this achievement.
