FUTES-IYIN Pre-Degree Admission Form 2025/2026

Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN) has announced the start of admission into its Pre-Degree Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. The update came through the Directorate of Pre-Degree Programme, often called DPP.

The pre-degree track is meant to help students get ready for degree study. It covers four broad study areas. These are Natural and Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Computing and Information Technology, and Environmental Sciences. The idea is simple. Give students a steady base before full degree work begins.

Available Programme Options

Natural and Applied Sciences

Courses listed here include Animal and Environmental Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Forensic Science, Geology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Science Laboratory Technology, and Statistics.

Engineering and Technology

Available programmes are Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering, and Computer Engineering.

Computing and Information Technology

This area covers Software Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, Information and Communication Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Geographic Information System with Remote Sensing. 

Environmental Sciences

Programmes offered include Architecture, Building Technology, Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology, Environmental Science and Management, Estate Management, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Industrial Design, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geoinformatics, and Urban and Regional Planning. 

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must have at least five credit passes from SSCE, NECO, or NABTEB results. These should be from not more than two sittings. The subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and one other related subject. Missing any of these may cause issues later.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates should apply through the official FUTES-IYIN website. Forms are bought and filled online. Payments are made online as well, and required documents must be uploaded for review.

The application form costs ₦15,000 and payment is done through the Remita platform. After submission, candidates should keep checking the pre-degree portal for updates. Waiting too long to check can lead to confusion.
