If you wrote UTME in 2025 and scored 160 or above, you might want to pause here. The Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) is calling for applications. Whether you picked them as your first choice or not, there’s room—as long as you’re ready to make the switch on JAMB CAPS.

Who Can Apply?
This is straight-up:
- Scored 160 or more in UTME? ✅
- FUTIA as your first choice? ✅
- Or you’re willing to switch to FUTIA on the JAMB portal? ✅
- Got at least five credits (English and Maths included) in not more than two sittings? ✅
Then yes, you’re eligible.

When Does It Start?
Online registration starts Monday, 21 July 2025. No long story.
The Steps That Matter
Follow these carefully:
- Go to the FUTIA Portal
- Click “Click here to apply”
- Tap on Undergraduate
- Enter your JAMB Reg. Number and click “Get details”
- Fill in your email and phone number, then tap Next
- On the next screen, hit Make Payment
- Use your ATM card (MasterCard, Visa or Verve)
- Enter the OTP sent to your phone and hit Continue
- After payment, go back to the portal, click Main login
- Log in with your JAMB Reg. Number and your surname as password
- Fill out the form, submit and print your receipt and registration slip
Done.
One More Thing…
- You’ll get four weeks to accept any admission offered
- If you’re waiting on O’Level results, that’s fine—but upload them fast at a JAMB-approved CBT centre
- FUTIA doesn’t use agents. No one should be asking you for cash. Don’t fall for that
