FUTO CISCO Academy Certification Programme Form 2019/2020

The Federal University of Technology Owerri has established a Cisco Academy on campus to train high-level skilled manpower for the ICT-based Industries through a University-Industry-based collaboration. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the above-stated programme for 2019/2020 Session.

The programme will provide opportunities for undergraduates or candidates who have a first degree or post-graduate degree to acquire hands-on practical industry skills in computer networking, security, embedded system programming, etc. Additionally, science and engineering students who are due for short duration industrial training will also find this programme very useful. On completion of the training, the candidates will be awarded CISCO Academy certificate and they will be qualified to sit for Cisco international certifications to enhance their employability. Furthermore, post-graduate students will have access to state-of-the-art resources for research and entrepreneurs may acquire the necessary skills for the establishment of small scale enterprises.

• CCNA Routing & Switching
• CCNA IT Essentials
• CCNA Security
• IoT Security
• CompTIA A+/Server +

Admission Requirements: Candidates with or without Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics, Physics, Science Laboratory Technology or any other related field are eligible.

Duration of Programme: 2-Calendar months with intensive modular lecture delivery approach.

Training Fee of Thirty thousand naira (N30,000) shall be paid into FUTO Microfinance Account (FMFB) number: 1100026961.

Important Dates: Completed application forms must be returned to the Cisco Academy Administration on or before Monday, November 25, 2019.

2019/2020 session begins on Monday, November 25, 2019. The first five (5) persons shall receive 100% Scholarship on the Training Fee for CCNA-1.
