GSU Academic Calendar 2025/2026 (Undergraduates)

Gombe State University (GSU) Senate, at its 112th Regular Meeting held on Thursday 29th January 2026, considered and approved the 2025/2026 academic calendar for regular undergraduate students. The schedule breaks the session into first semester and second semester activities; each block lists dates and the task students should expect.

The calendar approval came from the 112th Regular Meeting of Senate, held on Thu 29 Jan 2026. Students and departments can track lectures, breaks, exams, and post-exam processing from the same timetable; the dates below reflect the approved list.

First Semester Schedule

Registration (fresh and returning)

• Monday, 2nd February, 2026 – Saturday, 14th February, 2026: Registration portal open for fresh/returning students

Arrival on campus

• Monday, 16th February, 2026 – Saturday, 28th February, 2026: Students’ arrival on campus

Lectures and break

• Monday, 2nd March, 2026 – Saturday, 14th March, 2026: 2 weeks lectures
• Monday, 16th March, 2026 – Saturday, 22nd March, 2026: 1 week students’ break
• Monday, 23rd March, 2026 – Saturday, 6th June, 2026: 11 weeks lectures

Examinations and break

• Monday, 8th June, 2026 – Saturday, 27th June, 2026: 3 weeks examinations
• Monday, 29th June, 2026 – Saturday, 4th July, 2026: 1 week students’ break

Marking, results, and committees

• Monday, 29th July, 2026 – Saturday, 18th July, 2026: 3 weeks marking/results compilation
• Monday, 20th July, 2026 – Saturday, 1st August, 2026: 2 weeks departmental/faculty board
• Monday, 3rd August, 2026 – Saturday, 8th August, 2026: 1 week Senate Business Committee

Resumption and lectures

• Sunday, 5th July, 2026: Students’ resumption on campus
• Monday, 6th July, 2026 – Saturday, 29th August, 2026: 8 weeks lectures
• Monday, 31st August, 2026 – Saturday, 5th September, 2026: 1 week students’ break
• Monday, 7th July, 2026 – Saturday, 10th September, 2026: 5 weeks lectures

Examinations

• Monday, 12th October, 2026 – Saturday, 31st October, 2026: 3 weeks examinations
